Chip Heath is a professor at Stanford Graduate School of Business and his brother Dan Heath is a senior fellow at Duke University's CASE center. Together they've spent years studying how ideas take hold, how organizations change, and how ordinary people create extraordinary moments. Their collaborative work spans decades of research translated into practical frameworks that leaders, teachers, and managers use every day. They are the co-authors of Made to Stick, Switch, Decisive, and The Power of Moments.

Read Summary →Defining moments are built from four elements: Elevation, Pride, Insight, and Connection. Understanding these gives you the power to create them deliberately.
Memorable experiences require disrupting the expected. Intentionally script the unexpected into your events, processes, and daily interactions.
Rather than trying to make every moment good, focus energy on creating a few extraordinary peaks. People remember peaks and endings, not averages.
Sticky ideas are Simple, Unexpected, Concrete, Credible, Emotional, and told as Stories. Design the message against those six hooks instead of adding more slides.
Once you know something, you cannot imagine the listener’s gap. Translate down to one core idea instead of unloading the map.
Attention comes from breaking a pattern, then holding the answer until the listener wants it.
