Charles Wheelan is an American economist, journalist, and public policy professor best known for making economics accessible to a general audience. He spent years as a correspondent for The Economist and has taught public policy at the University of Chicago and Dartmouth College. Wheelan is the author of the bestselling Naked Economics, as well as Naked Statistics and Naked Money, part of a series that applies the same accessible, jargon-free approach to different quantitative subjects. He has also worked in policy and briefly ran for the U.S. Congress in Illinois as an independent candidate.
