Norman Doidge
"Psychiatrist, Psychoanalyst & Neuroplasticity Pioneer"
Norman Doidge, M.D., is a Canadian psychiatrist and psychoanalyst on faculty at the University of Toronto's Department of Psychiatry and Columbia University's Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. His clinical practice repeatedly confronted him with patients who defied standard prognoses, leading him to investigate the emerging science of neuroplasticity. The Brain That Changes Itself became a New York Times bestseller translated into more than 100 languages. His follow-up, The Brain's Way of Healing (2015), extended his work into non-pharmacological treatment of neurological conditions.
