Chris Bailey
"We are what we pay attention to."
Chris Bailey is a productivity writer who spent a year running structured personal experiments on time, attention, and energy management, which he documented on his blog and turned into The Productivity Project (2016). He later narrowed his focus specifically to attention and distraction in Hyperfocus, distinguishing between hyperfocus for deep, single-task concentration and scatterfocus for creative mind-wandering. Across both books, Bailey treats productivity as an experimental discipline: testing specific tactics on himself, measuring what actually changed, and keeping only what held up.
